Are there any decent CPU alternatives on the AM4 platform that can compete with the 7800X3D? Or should I just make the jump to AM5? If you can snag a Micro Center deal for the AM5 upgrade and offset the costs by selling your AM4 parts (like around $275 total for your motherboard, CPU, and RAM), it might be worth it! The 7800X3D is going for about $650, which reduces your out-of-pocket expenses significantly. Just think about how much future-proofing you want. The 7500X3D could also be a budget-friendly option and save you a lot of cash!
The best options you have on AM4 are the 5600X3D, 5700X3D, or 5800X3D, but they’re pretty pricey these days. What kind of games are you playing, by the way?
