I'm thinking about upgrading my setup since my current rig isn't handling newer games smoothly, likely due to the CPU bottleneck. I'm considering moving to AM5, but I found a 5700X3D for AM4 for about $300 here in Norway. Currently, I'm using a Sapphire RX590 Nitro+, a Ryzen 3600X CPU, 32GB of RAM, and an 850W PSU. Would upgrading to a 5700X3D and pairing it with a 9070XT GPU be worthwhile, or would the CPU still bottleneck the performance?

Going for the 5700X3D is a smart choice! It’ll give you more time before needing to jump to AM6, and it pairs well with the 9070XT. Your RX590 is holding you back, so that upgrade will help a lot too.
If you're leaning towards AM5, it's a solid path forward! Just remember, investing in new tech might save you from upgrading sooner down the line.
AM5 will still be relevant with new CPUs being introduced until 2027, so it might be worth considering if you want to future-proof your system.
The 5700X3D with the 9070XT should work great together. Don't forget that your current GPU is definitely affecting your gaming performance, so upgrading both would really boost your setup.
Have you checked the prices for a 7600X, a budget B650 motherboard, and 32GB of 6000MT CL30 RAM? That could be another way to upgrade without breaking the bank.
