I'm really torn about whether I should build a new system on the AM5 platform or simply upgrade my existing AM4 setup. Here are my current specs: I have an RTX 3060 Ti, a Ryzen 5 5600X, an ASUS PRIME B550M-A WIFI 2 motherboard, and 32 GB of RAM. I'm running a 650W power supply, and budget isn't an issue; I'm just looking for the best path forward. Should I make the upgrade now? If so, what components would you recommend? Thanks in advance!

Honestly, unless you find a solid deal on something like a sub $200 5800X3D, I wouldn't upgrade your AM4 system. Your 5600X is still quite strong. Plus, with next-gen AMD CPUs likely sticking to the AM5 socket, it might be worth switching to that platform instead.
Are you actually facing performance issues with your 5600X? If it's still running fine, there aren't many paths for upgrade, especially since the 5700X3D and 5800X3D are overpriced. If you want more power for gaming, a GPU upgrade could be the way to go, and you might not need to upgrade the CPU right away. The 5600X can still handle many games well for now, especially if you're happy with a good FPS experience.

Sounds like I should go for a GPU upgrade first! Are there any models you'd recommend that pair well with my CPU?
