Windows 10's security updates are also running out, which adds to my urgency. I'm considering two upgrade options: the Intel i5 14400F with a motherboard for about $330, or the AMD R5 9600X with a newer motherboard and 32 GB DDR5 RAM for around $715. Given my moderate gaming habits and the fact I don't need the latest tech, which upgrade makes more sense for me?
