I'm considering buying a 32GB RAM stick for just 10 euros, which runs at 3200MHz. Currently, I have an 8GB stick also running at 3200MHz. Should I use the 32GB stick alone, or is it better to combine it with the 8GB stick? I mainly game, and both sticks have the same speed. What setup would be better for performance?

Using the 8GB and 32GB together can potentially give you 40GB total, which would run as 8GB in dual channel and the remaining 24GB in single channel. Both sticks should work fine at 3200MHz as long as the latencies are manageable. Just keep in mind that mismatched RAM can sometimes be a bit finicky, but many people have had success with setups like this. Generally, for gaming, having two sticks (like 16GB in dual channel) is often more effective than just one large stick.
Got it! I’m planning to try out the combined 40GB first and then see how it performs before switching back to just the 32GB stick. Thanks!
