I have an old 27" DVI monitor that I want to use as a secondary display, but my RX 9060 XT graphics card doesn't have a DVI port. I'm currently using an old GTX 1050 2GB as a second GPU just for this monitor. Should I stick with that setup, or would it be better to get a DisplayPort to DVI adapter and run both monitors off a single GPU? I'm curious which option would have a greater impact on performance.

DVI and HDMI are electrically the same, so you can easily find an adapter that converts HDMI to DVI without much hassle. Plus, having both monitors on the primary GPU shouldn't really affect performance at all, so using a single GPU could simplify things for you.

I actually bought an HDMI to DVI cable by mistake, but since I'm using my only HDMI port for the main monitor, that cable is just sitting there gathering dust.
