Should I Use My Old SSD for My New PC Build?

I'm working on my first PC build and I initially planned to use a WD Blue SN850 1TB SSD. However, I noticed I have a Samsung SSD 980 PRO 2TB from my old laptop (Acer Nitro 5). I'm considering using the Samsung SSD, but I'm worried about its performance since it's been in use for 3 to 4 years. Should I reformat it and go with this SSD instead? What are your thoughts?

If the Samsung SSD is still in good health, go ahead and use it! It should perform great, especially considering its size. Just make sure to reformat it before installing it in your new PC to start fresh.

Thanks! How can I check if the SSD is healthy?
