I'm in the market for a new CPU cooler and have my eye on the Noctua D15 G2, which is highly rated for air cooling. I've heard that the Chromax Black version is set to be released in September, but I'm torn between waiting for it and just purchasing the standard D15 in Chromax Black. My current cooler isn't performing well and my CPU (Ryzen 7 5800X) is running pretty hot while playing games like Le Mans Ultimate and Ready or Not. What do you think I should do?

Just a heads-up, Noctua has been known to push back releases sometimes. If you need a cooler now, you might be waiting a while for the D15 G2. Those delays can be frustrating!
Honestly, if you're looking for something solid and don’t want to deal with possible release delays, I'd say go for the Thermalright. It’s very popular among users and performs similarly to the original NH-D15 but at a much better price point.
Sounds good, but will it also last? I really need something reliable since I'm off to college and won’t have much cash to spend on upgrades for the next five years.
Consider checking out the Thermalright Phantom Spirit. It performs pretty close to the Noctua while being significantly cheaper. It might be a good alternative since you're in a hurry and need to cool down that overheated CPU fast!
That's interesting! But does a few degrees in performance actually matter? I’m wondering if it’ll end up being worth it in the long run, especially since it's cheaper.

Really? I thought the release was on track for September based on what their mod said recently.
