Struggling with ChatGPT’s Limitations for Map Measurements

I'm finding the free version of ChatGPT to be mostly unhelpful. Occasionally, it provides useful information, but I'm running into issues when I need it to help with specific tasks like measuring distances on a map I created in Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Map Editor. The limitation of only being able to upload three files every few hours really holds me back. I can't justify paying for a premium membership, but it's frustrating because I'm stuck on my project without proper help. I know my request is a bit vague, but I'm open to answering any questions to clarify my situation.

It sounds like you're facing a tough spot with the limitations. It's understandable that having only three uploads is frustrating. Why not try providing as much detail as you can in your prompts? For example, instead of uploading images, describe the layout of the map as clearly as you can, including distances and landmarks between points. Maybe also include rough estimates based on your game experience that might help ChatGPT calculate the time taken for characters to encounter each other.

I totally get where you're coming from! It's a bummer that the platform has these caps. Have you thought about using a different method, like sketching your map on paper and measuring it physically, then feeding that info back to ChatGPT? Just be sure to be specific in your prompt about what you want help with, like detailing distances or paths.

You might want to try calming down and being more precise with your requests. Venting is good, but when you refocus on your specific needs, you could get more accurate help. If possible, break down your questions, such as asking how long it might take for one character to meet another if you provide estimated travel rates. Good luck!
