I've been dealing with painfully slow download speeds lately, ranging from 0.3 to 5 MBPS, while my upload speeds are perfectly fine at around 20 MBPS. Downloads are crawling at KB/s or even B/s! I'm using an ethernet cable with a FRITZ! powerline adapter, and there's this annoying issue when I start my PC, where it shows I'm connected via ethernet, but nothing actually works. I have to wait about 5 minutes and then unplug and replug the ethernet cable to get it working. I'm really at my wit's end here and would appreciate any suggestions. By the way, the powerline is directly plugged into the socket.

What kind of speeds do you get when you connect directly to the router without the powerline? It might help to eliminate where the issue is coming from.
Have you tried reaching out to your Internet Service Provider? They might be able to help with the slow speeds.
I haven't because I'm the only one in my house experiencing this issue.

Not sure what you mean by that. Could you clarify?
