I've had my new PC for about two years, and I'm really frustrated with the framerate I'm getting while gaming. Here are my specs: AMD Ryzen 7 5700G, 32GB of RAM, and a GeForce 4060 Ti. It seems like people I know with much worse specs are able to run games significantly better than I can. I haven't cleaned my PC at all since I got it, nor have I used any thermal paste. Do you think I should start using thermal paste? I've already tinkered with my settings, so I'm running out of ideas on how to improve performance.

Did you build this PC yourself or buy it pre-built? Sometimes a professional build might have better optimizations.
First things first, can you share a pic of where the monitor is plugged into? It's an easy mistake to plug it into the motherboard instead of the GPU. I mention this because after a spring cleaning, it’s not unusual to accidentally switch things around!
Here’s a photo of my setup—it’s definitely plugged into the motherboard. There's also a bunch of dust buildup near the fans.
My dad built it for me, and he works with computers a lot, so I thought it was in good hands!

Yeah, if you're using the iGPU from the motherboard, that would totally cause low framerate issues.
