Stuck in BitLocker Recovery Loop on Windows 11 – How to Fix?

I'm experiencing a frustrating loop with BitLocker on my Lenovo Yoga 7 running Windows 11. After I enter my recovery key, I press continue, but nothing happens and I can't get past this screen. I don't have important files saved on this device, so I'm looking for advice on what steps I can take to resolve this issue. Should I try anything specific, or is there a recommended approach?

First off, make sure you're using your personal machine and not a corporate one. If it's yours, the simplest way to stop the BitLocker loop is to log into Windows and remove BitLocker. However, if you're stuck in that recovery loop, you might need to consider formatting the drive and doing a clean reinstall of the system, especially if you don’t mind losing the data on it.

If you're getting stuck due to a blue screen, it could be triggering an automatic restart. Try pressing F8 during bootup to access the Advanced Boot Options and disable automatic restarts. You might see a BSOD code that could help identify the problem. If you're just trying to recover files, consider booting with Hiren's BootCD; it may prompt you for the BitLocker key, allowing you to unlock your drive and copy data to a USB.

You should know that formatting is definitely an option. If you're okay with losing the data, it might be the quickest path out of this issue. I recommend checking online for guides as you go through the reinstall process — there are plenty of step-by-step tutorials available.
