Stuck on Dell Loading Screen – Help!

I've been having trouble with my Dell Optiplex 7010; it just won't get past the Dell logo and the spinning wheel. I have it set up with a D90M case, running Windows 11, and it has an EVGA GTX 1660 Super graphics card along with a 550W power supply. I don't usually shut it down, so I suspect it might be the power supply causing the issue. I replaced the CMOS battery (swapped the old Toshiba 2025 for an Energizer 2032) and updated my time and date settings, but the problem persists. The SSD seems fine since it passed the ePSA diagnostic test. I'm also trying to get some remote work going, so I'd love to have it sorted out soon. Any advice?

It sounds like you've done some solid troubleshooting already! First off, make sure your CMOS battery is the right fit—sometimes it's not just about the voltage, but the size matters too for a good connection. If the BIOS isn't indicating a dead battery, then it might not be at fault here.

The problem could stem from a corrupted OS installation or a failing SSD. If you're okay with losing data, consider doing a secure wipe and fresh install of Windows from a USB. It could potentially clear up the issue!

I really want to avoid losing my files. Is there a way to safely back them up before doing a wipe?
