I'm putting together my first PC and would love to hear any recommendations or changes you might suggest! Here's what I have so far:
- AMD Ryzen 5 7600 Processor (up to 5.1GHz Turbo, AM5, comes with Wraith Stealth Cooler)
- MSI B840M Gaming WiFi 6E Motherboard
- ID-Cooling SE-226-XT Black CPU Cooler
- 2 ADATA DDR5 16GB 5600MHz CL46 Memory sticks
- ASRock Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB GDDR6 Challenger OC Graphics Card
- Hiksemi Wave 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD (2450MB/s, PCIe Gen3 x4)
- Be Quiet! Pure Power 12 M 750W 80+ Gold Fully Modular ATX 3.1 / PCIe 5.1 Power Supply
- Corsair 480T RGB Airflow Case with 3x 120mm AR120 ARGB Fans and Tempered Glass, Black

Please let me know if there's anything I should change or improve!

If your budget allows, consider going for some CL30 RAM instead of CL46. The lower latency can make a noticeable difference! Also, look into Gen 4 SSDs for improved responsiveness overall.

I've been looking into that! Prices are steep, but I'm changing the RAM and SSD already. The RAM is now CL40, and the SSD is a Patriot 6200MB/s.

It really depends on your budget. The RAM you picked is a bit on the slow side, and the SSD isn’t from the most reputable brand. If you're tight on funds, don't overlook the Ryzen 7600's stock cooler and consider dropping the extra cooler.

Yeah, I'm aware! I’ve switched up some components based on feedback. Already made some tweaks!

I’d steer clear of the B840 chipset if possible. A B650 or B850 would offer better performance and features. It’s worth considering for the future-proofing.

Will a B650M-AYW work for me? I want to make sure I get a solid motherboard.

What's wrong with the B840 board? I've seen some recommendations for it.

I appreciate the advice! I might look into the B650 option.

Is this build a minimum setup? The 7600 already comes with a cooler, so you might want to skip that external one unless you’re aiming for overclocking. I recommend looking into bundle deals, especially from retailers like Microcenter. They offer solid combos like a 7500X with a B850 motherboard and 16GB RAM for around $350.

(Disclaimer: I don’t live near the U.S.) I made some changes already based on what others suggested! I switched to a 5 7600X, Asus B650M AYW, Patriot M.2 SSD (6200MB/s, Gen 4), and Kingston DDR5 16GB 5600MHz CL40 RAM.
