I've been using my MSI Gaming X Trio 3080 since it first came out, and it was totally worth the wait. However, as games get tougher to run, I'm starting to think about upgrading. I mostly play Monster Hunter Wilds and am fine turning down graphics for better frame rates. But my girlfriend is struggling with her older card (maybe a 1060 or 1070?), so I thought about getting a new card for myself and giving her my 3080. I'm curious if upgrading now is wise since prices are through the roof. What would be a good card to consider? I'm leaning towards something like a 5070-TI or 5080 but I'm unsure if that's the right move. Any thoughts?

You might want to explore AMD options too! If you're not tied to NVIDIA features like DLSS, a Radeon card could give you better performance for the money. I picked up a 7900XT for around $850 and it's been great for me!
If you're looking for a solid upgrade, the 5070 Ti or 9070 XT could be your best bets right now. They’re about 45% faster than your 3080, which is pretty solid considering prices these days. Just keep in mind the tariffs may be affecting the pricing on those, so do some shopping around!
Thank you 😀
