Hey everyone! I've got a 1060 6GB graphics card that usually serves me well—especially since I'm running a 5900X CPU—but I'm starting to feel the limits. I've been playing games like War Thunder at 144hz with no issues, but I've noticed that Helldivers 2 and Minecraft (especially with heavy shader packs) are pushing it. I get around 60fps, but I'd really like to hit that 144hz mark at max settings, since I'm currently stuck at medium settings for those titles.
Given that I'm looking to stick with 1080p at 144hz for a while, I'm considering an upgrade. I'm eyeing the 9060 or maybe a 7700 XT if I can find a good deal. My budget is about £300, but I could stretch to £350 if it would make a significant difference. Any suggestions?

Both the 6700XT and 3080 12GB are great options if you're looking for solid performance, but they might stretch your budget depending on the deals available.
If I were you, I’d probably go for the 7700 XT or a 5060 Ti 16GB. Those should give you good performance at 1080p for the titles you're playing.
The B580 16GB could be a great fit for your budget. It's geared toward mid-range performance and should handle those games better than your current setup.
I recently moved from a 1060 to an Arc 770LE 16GB and I’m really pleased with it, especially for gaming on Linux. Just a thought if you're open to different brands!
It sounds like a good upgrade is in order! If you can get the 9060 at MSRP, it could be a solid choice for you. Alternatively, check the used market for 4070 Super cards—they're often cheaper where I live and offer a noticeable boost over the 7700 XT.
Just to note, used 4070 Supers might be pricier than the 5070 and way over your budget, so keep an eye out for prices!
