Thinking of Switching to Linux: Any Tips for a Windows User?

I've grown up using Windows, and while I know a fair bit about troubleshooting, I'm really frustrated with the unpredictability of Windows 11 updates. I've been wanting to switch to Linux for a while now, but my first attempt at dual-booting went south and I ended up with no memory left. Should I give it another shot? What's the easiest way to transition? Also, I'm considering if I should just revert to Windows 7 instead. Any advice would be super helpful!

Definitely don’t go back to Windows 7; it’s an end-of-life system and poses major security risks. If you're looking for an easy entry into Linux, I recommend trying Linux Mint. It's user-friendly and designed with Windows users in mind.

Mint is great, but if you're into gaming or want something modern, check out Bazzite KDE or Aurora. They have a clean, Windows-like interface!
