I'm looking at getting the Costco iBuyPower setup that includes 32GB of RAM, a 2TB SSD, an Nvidia 5070 graphics card, and a Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor for about $1,500. However, my main goal isn't gaming; I'm building and upgrading a home lab. I'm pondering whether to buy this system and transfer its components into my own case so I can install 6x 22TB HDDs that I already have. Does this sound like a good plan? Alternatively, I have another build idea I've created on PCPartPicker that might be more suitable. What do you think?

Instead of going for the iBuyPower, consider building an external NAS. The hardware is solid for gaming, but since you're not gaming, you might be better off with dedicated storage solutions. It could save you hassle in the long run.
Why are you leaning toward the iBuyPower system if performance isn't a concern? There might be more tailored options out there for your lab needs without breaking the bank.
I hear you! I’m just considering that the newer components might offer better value for a slight cost increase.

I actually need the space for a 144TB home lab setup, plus I'm running Plex and a bunch of VMs. So, I'm thinking of maximizing my storage with that iBuyPower.
