Thoughts on My $1600 Gaming PC Build? Any Suggestions for Improvement?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to build a gaming PC that will primarily be used for gaming (about 90% of the time) and I want to get your thoughts before I purchase anything. My total budget is around $1600. Here's what I'm planning for my build:

- **Motherboard:** ASUS PRIME A620M-E-CSM (AM5, DDR5, mATX)
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 5 7600 (6C/12T)
- **GPU:** ASUS Prime Radeon RX 9070 XT OC 16GB
- **RAM:** Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR5 5600MHz CL36 (Single Stick)
- **Storage:** Kingston NV3 1TB Gen4 NVMe (6000/4000 MB/s)
- **CPU Cooler:** Thermaltake UX400 ARGB Tower Cooler
- **Case:** BitFenix W808 (with 850W 80+ Bronze PSU included)

I'm planning to play games like GTA 6, God of War, Spider-Man, and Hogwarts Legacy. I'd love to know if you think this build is good overall, any potential weak points I should watch out for, and which components you would suggest upgrading first. I'm also curious if having a single stick of 16GB RAM is a bad idea—would it be better to switch to 2x16GB? And is the A620 motherboard going to limit my upgrade options down the line?

Using a single 16GB stick can actually slow down CPU performance quite a bit. If you can swing it, I recommend going with either 2x8GB or 2x16GB. Plus, switching to a B650 or B850 motherboard would give you more flexibility for upgrades. Also, I'm not sure about the PSU included with your case—make sure it's a reliable one!

I get that 2x16GB is better, but the budget’s tight. I might consider 2x8GB instead. As for the motherboard, B650 sounds like the way to go!

Overall, this is a solid build, but you're right to think about the A620 motherboard—it can limit future upgrades if you want to go higher than a Ryzen 5. It's worth checking out some B650 boards; you might find good deals since motherboard prices can fluctuate. It's a smart choice to plan ahead for future upgrades!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely look into getting a B650.

It looks like you're trying to balance quality with cost, but this build does cut some corners. Can you tell us what country you're in? We might help find better deals tailored to your area!
