I'm planning to build a PC for 4K video editing using footage from my Osmo Pocket 3, and I also want to game at 1440p on a 144Hz monitor. I'm trying to optimize my costs while achieving good performance. I've already got the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 cooler, but I would love your feedback on the rest of my components and any cost-saving suggestions. Here's my current parts list:

I have a few suggestions that could help you save around $200 while still getting great performance.
- **CPU Cooler**: I wouldn't recommend the Dark Rock Pro 4 for your setup, especially for the AMD AM5 platform. It struggled to keep temperatures down in testing. Instead, consider the Thermalright Phantom Spirit, which performs much better and is only about $50.
- **Motherboard**: If you don't need all the extra data lanes, a B850 motherboard can save you some cash.
- **Memory**: Going for slightly cheaper RAM with the same specs can help, too.
- **Storage**: Look for cheaper SSDs that still have good speeds and durability ratings.
- **Video Card**: A more budget-friendly 5070 Ti would work fine.
- **Power Supply**: You can also find a good quality PSU at a lower price.
I put together a revised parts list if you want to check it out!
You might want to reconsider the motherboard. If you know you won’t need all the features that come with the X870 chipset, you can definitely go for something cheaper and still get great performance.
Honestly, I'm not super savvy with motherboards. I picked this one just because it's compatible with the 9950X3D. Any suggestions for a more affordable option?
Thanks for the tips! What do you think about whether the 9950X3D is worth it if I'm not making money from editing yet? Would it be better to go for a 9800X3D or 7800X3D instead?
