Hey everyone! I'm thinking about upgrading my PC for the first time in 8 years. I typically invest in a solid rig that can last over 5 years without needing partial upgrades. Here are the specs I'm considering:

- **Case:** Corsair 6500X Tempered Glass Mid Tower Dual Chamber
- **CPU:** Intel Core i9-14900K (24-core, up to 6.0GHz, 36MB Cache)
- **Motherboard:** ASUS TUF Gaming Z790-Plus WiFi (LGA1700, DDR5, PCIe 4.0, Wi-Fi 6E)
- **Memory:** 64GB (2x32GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000MHz CL30
- **GPU:** NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB (Palit GamingPro)
- **1st SSD (OS):** 1TB Samsung 990 Pro NVMe Gen 4
- **2nd SSD (Games):** 4TB Samsung 990 Pro NVMe Gen 4
- **3rd SSD (General):** 2TB Samsung 990 Pro NVMe Gen 4
- **PSU:** Corsair RMx 850W ATX 3.1
- **CPU Cooler:** Corsair iCUE Link TITAN 360 RX RGB 360mm AIO
- **Extra Case Fans:** 4x 120mm Thermaltake TOUGHFAN 12

I don't plan on gaming in 4K, but I want the option down the line. My biggest worries are whether the i9 processor is overkill and how loud it might be. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Hey! I noticed you’re looking at an i9 for gaming. It's worth mentioning that the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D and 7900X3D actually outperform the i9 in gaming scenarios and run cooler. If you're gaming, you might want to consider going with AMD instead. Also, your case choice seems a bit pricey for what it offers – you might find a more budget-friendly option that still fits your components!

Thanks for the input! I appreciate the heads up about AMD. I've heard mixed things in the past but it seems they're doing much better now. I'll definitely check out some other cases too!
