Thoughts on this GPU and CPU pairing for 1080p gaming?

I'm planning to build a PC in a few months once I save up some cash, and I've selected an AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT for the graphics card and an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X for the CPU. I'm aiming for 1080p gaming. My budget is ideally around $1000, but I could stretch it to $1100. Any advice on this combo?

The Ryzen 5 9600X is a bit overpowered for what you need. If you're just gaming at 1080p, a Ryzen 5 7600 would do the job just fine. That said, if you're planning to upgrade to a high-end GPU like the 4070 Super soon, the 9600X might be a decent placeholder until then.

That makes sense! I’m also thinking about the 4070 Super down the line, so maybe the 9600X will hold up for a bit.
