Hey everyone, I'm looking to build a PC for 1080p gaming and I've found a setup that comes to under $1000. Here's the link to my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8dtx3w. I'd love to hear your opinions on this. Any suggestions or improvements?

I saw you have a cooler listed for $14, but doesn’t that CPU usually come with one? Most stock coolers are decent for basic use, but if you're gaming, I'd suggest upgrading. I switched to an aftermarket one for just $30 and it made a noticeable difference in temps!
Are the stock coolers enough for gaming though?
If you're near a Micro Center or familiar with Newegg's combo builder, you might find some great deals. Here’s a detailed example of a build that totals around $938.42 after discounts: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GnVdRV. Just keep in mind to check availability for the components. Happy building!
I’ll definitely check it out!
Consider focusing on a 7600X with a 9060 XT for a good 1440p experience. Here’s a link to a build that comes out to about $1004.64, but it’ll give you the latest platform to work with: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tG6nDj
Wow, okay! That looks awesome, thanks for sharing!
If you're set on new parts, definitely look at getting a Ryzen 7600/7600X with a 5060 Ti or 9060 XT. You can find some decent deals on parts and even consider buying used to save money. I built my 7600X with a 5070 for under $1000 by shopping smart!
Good tip! I'll keep an eye out for used parts.
This build is a bit outdated. I recommend upgrading to something newer like an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X paired with a 5060 Ti or a 9060 XT for better performance. By going with more current gen components, you’ll have a machine that’s easier to upgrade later. Check this build I’ve put together for just under $1000: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ykybMC
That new build looks a lot better, thanks!
I second this! Looks solid.
That’s good to know! I definitely want better cooling.
