I'm looking to give my old AM4 system a bit of an upgrade. Currently, I have a Ryzen 5 2600 and a GTX 1070 Ti, and I'm considering upgrading to a Ryzen 7 5800X CPU first. In a few months, I plan to upgrade my GPU as well, potentially looking at the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, RTX 5070 12GB, or something from AMD. My goal is to play games at WQHD, and I might look into a full system overhaul in the next 3-4 years. I initially thought of going for an entirely new setup now, but I feel I won't be using it as much as I did before, so I'm leaning towards just upgrading my current AM4 setup.

Sounds like a decent plan! Upgrading to the Ryzen 7 5800X will definitely breathe some new life into your system. Just out of curiosity, what's your budget looking like for this upgrade?
I suggest considering the Ryzen 5800X3D for gaming; it offers some great performance. However, keep in mind they can be hard to find and pretty pricey due to high demand right now. Have you looked around much?
Your upgrade plan sounds solid! The Ryzen 7 5800X is a great choice for your AM4 setup. When you're ready to upgrade your GPU, definitely consider the RTX 5070 for its excellent performance, and keep an eye on AMD's offerings too since they might give you better value for your money.
You want a solid upgrade path, and it seems like you're on the right track. I have a 5700X with a 4070 Super and it handles 1440p and 4K without issues. The Ryzen 7 5800X will serve you well for WQHD gaming. Just remember to keep an eye on GPU prices as you plan your upgrade.
If you're planning on sticking with AM4, the 5700X could work well for you, especially if you pair it with a good cooler. The Be Quiet! Pure Rock 3 Pro should do just fine for the 5800X. Are you excited about the upgrades?
