I have clothes in the dryer regularly and the time remaining shows on the display. There could be 10 mins remaining and if I check back in 5 mins, the timer could read 15 mins. Why does this keep happening?

This happens when you have configured the dryer to get the clothes to a certain level of dryness. If the dryer detects that the clothes are not close to the level of dryness that has been set, it will adjust the time remaining until the level of dryness is reached. The time you see on the clock is just an estimate.
