Tips for Reducing the Cost of My First PC Build

I'm getting ready to buy my first PC and I'm looking for ways to cut down the cost without compromising too much on performance. I'm working off of a shopping list that my friend and cousin helped me create, but I'm hoping to trim at least 500 euros from the total. I'm not very experienced with PCs or building them, so any advice on components I could switch out or cheaper alternatives would be super helpful!

You might want to reconsider the CPU you're looking at; it’s really powerful but could be overkill for what you need right now. For storage, going down to a 1 TB drive could save some cash. If you downgrade the CPU, don’t forget to switch out the cooler as well; an air cooler would suffice instead of an expensive AIO. Also, about that OLED monitor—unless you're really into deep blacks and are a hardcore gamer, a 1440p IPS 240Hz monitor could be a great alternative and save you a chunk of change.

Check out this updated parts list I put together for you: [PCPartPicker Part List](https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/list/x4k36Q). It gives you nearly the same performance but $530 less than your current setup! I didn't focus on aesthetics much, but you could always upgrade the cooler if that's a priority for you.
