Hey everyone! I'm looking to replace my current graphics card, which is a Gigabyte RX 6650 XT with three fans. I'm thinking about upgrading to a 7700 XT, also with three fans. Besides the size difference and the potential need for a more powerful power supply, are there any other considerations I should be aware of? Does replacing the card affect the power supply as well?

First off, definitely check your CPU compatibility with the new GPU. Your Intel i7 should handle it well, but it’s good to double-check any bottlenecks. Also, yes, you'll likely need a stronger power supply since the 7700 XT requires more wattage. Make sure your PSU has the right connectors for the new card too! You don’t want any surprises during installation.

Good call on the connectors! It’s super annoying if you get everything set up and then can't plug it in properly.

Size is definitely a factor! You need to make sure it fits in your case. Check the dimensions on the specs before buying. Also, keep an eye on the cooling; the 7700 XT will likely run hotter, so ventilation in your case matters too!

Thanks for the tips! I’ll definitely measure my case to ensure it fits.
