I de-federated my church's email from GoDaddy and migrated everything over to Microsoft about a year ago. However, last Friday GoDaddy suddenly took control of everything again, and since I no longer have subscriptions with them, our email and Office access has been cut off. When I try to access the management console, I can't update any subscriptions because it instructs me to contact GoDaddy. When I reach out to GoDaddy, they claim that we're defederated, so they can't assist. I've checked Powershell, and it shows that we're still managed, not federated. Is there anyone who can help me figure out what's going on?

It sounds like you might have missed a step when you de-federated from GoDaddy. If you didn't remove their partner relationship from your tenant, they could have run a script that affects everything, especially once their licenses expire. I recommend opening a support ticket with Microsoft right away in case there's still a chance to recover your data, although many have reported that the data may be permanently lost if GoDaddy has already acted.
Yeah, sounds familiar. That’s a pretty frustrating situation.

I can't even open a ticket with Microsoft. I get stuck with their AI. We've been using their services without issues for almost a year now, so I'm really worried about this.
