I'm having a hard time updating my son's age on our family account. Every time I try to make the change, I run into server errors. This seems to be a common issue for accounts belonging to kids under 13. My son is actually older now, and we filled out the wrong year when his account was created. He just realized the age is incorrect, and when he tries to change it on his end, he gets a message saying that the family organizer needs to make the change. But when I attempt to change it, I'm met with these pesky server errors. We've even tried submitting a request, changing it by just a couple of days, and toggling screen time—nothing seems to work! I'm really stumped here. Any ideas on how to get this fixed?

Are you using an Apple device or are you on a browser? I ask because sometimes browser issues can cause these errors. What browser are you using?
Apple has a support page that might shed some light on this issue. Have you checked it out? Here’s the link: https://support.apple.com/102473
I saw that page too, but I still ended up facing the same errors. It didn't help me at all.
I found a previous thread that discussed a similar issue. If it helps, here's the link: https://www.reddit.com/r/applehelp/comments/1d8fa0a/solved_changing_birthday_on_childs_apple_id/
Just a heads up, if you're trying to set the age to 18, I've noticed that there can be issues with that. Instead, try changing it to 17 years and 364 days first. This method allows it to update, and then you can adjust once the account naturally ages to 18. It works for some folks!

I've tried both my iPhone and my PC, and I'm using Opera on the PC. Maybe I'll give a different browser a shot.
EDIT: You were right about the browser! I switched to Firefox and it finally worked. Thanks a million!
