I'm having some serious trouble connecting to my work WiFi. Whenever I try to connect, my internet troubleshooter gives me a few different error messages, like "The DNS service and the DNS server couldn't process the DNS request," or just "There's a problem with the DNS cache." My WiFi control center says I'm connected, but I can't access the internet at all. After messing with it for about half an hour, it sometimes works, but really slowly. I'm wondering if I need to replace my wireless adapter, because I really don't want to switch to a USB WiFi adapter. Any tips?

It sounds like your DNS settings might be off. Sometimes, if you've set a static DNS like 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8, your workplace might block those outgoing connections. It’s worth checking to make sure you're on automatic DNS settings instead.
Just to clarify, the DNS issue isn't tied to the hardware of your adapter. It’s usually a software problem within Windows itself. If there's something buggy, it should be addressed at the OS level, not the hardware. If you're really stuck, consider doing a rebuild of Windows from the troubleshooting startup screen—might help clear up the issues!
