Hey everyone,
I was trying to install Fortinet EMS 7.4 on a few PCs, and everything went smoothly on Windows 10 and 11. However, I'm running into issues on the VM servers where the installer just ends unexpectedly without giving any specific reason. The VM servers I'm dealing with are Windows Server 2012 and 2016.
Due to budget constraints, the property isn't willing to invest in IT support right now, so I'm hoping to find some insights from those of you who have installed Fortinet on VM servers before or have faced this kind of problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Could you clarify which file you’re using for installation? It seems like you mentioned Windows Servers, but some folks might think it's a Linux installation. More details about the package would help others assist you better.
I've installed Fortinet on VMs without issues. Double-check to ensure the service is actually running – are you looking in the services panel? Also, are you pushing the installation remotely or using the executable? Did the VM reboot after the installation process ended?
Make sure to check the installation logs. They can often provide insight into why the installer is failing. It might give you the exact error or issue that’s causing the early termination. Without those logs, it’s hard to pinpoint the problem.
Are you sure you're not trying to install the 32-bit version on a 64-bit VM? That might cause it to crash during the installation, especially if it’s unsupported on the servers you mentioned.
