Hey everyone! I have an Asus FX517Z laptop that previously had Windows installed, but I switched to Pop OS for a while. Now I want to revert back to Windows 11, but when I try to install it, I keep getting a driver error indicating that media drivers are needed. I'm pretty sure it's the Intel RST drivers causing the issue, but I'm not entirely sure. I've gone through multiple attempts to install the drivers, but nothing seems to work. Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds frustrating! What's the exact error message you see when trying to install? Just checking if you've gone through the usual Asus method for the IRST drivers. Basically, you download the installation file on another device, run it to extract the files, and then copy that folder to a USB drive for installation. Could that be the step you're missing?
I had a friend who faced a similar issue, and she followed this Intel guide to fix it: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000094664/technologies/intel-rapid-storage-technology-intel-rst.html. It might help you out!
I just get a generic error saying "Error installing driver." It's super vague! I'll definitely check the extraction method you mentioned, thanks!
