I'm having a tough time reinstalling Windows 11 on my computer. I initially didn't use a USB drive for the installation, and now I'm trying to set it up for secure boot. I used Rufus to prepare my USB, and I can get to the installation screen. However, when I clean the disk and proceed with the installation, it completes but never really installs. It just keeps sending me back to the same installation screen. Any ideas on how to fix this?

After the first reboot during installation, make sure you remove the USB drive. Sometimes the system keeps trying to boot from it instead of the hard drive, which causes the installation to loop like you're experiencing. You might want to use the boot menu (usually accessed by a function key like F8) to select your hard drive directly after removing the USB.
A common fix is to remove the USB drive just before the computer is supposed to reboot for the first time. If it still doesn’t boot into Windows, you'd want to check the BIOS settings and manually set your main hard drive as the primary boot device. This often resolves the issue where the installation process just loops back to the installation screen.
It sounds like there might be an issue with your storage drive, especially if the installation hangs at around 77%. That could indicate a problem with the drive itself. You may want to run a diagnostic test on the drive using a Linux USB to rule out hardware failures. Alternatively, have you tried the OEM installation prep tool? It might work better for your setup.
