Trouble Opening Links in Outlook – Network Issue?

I've been hearing from users onsite that they can't open links in the classic version of Outlook since Monday. However, remote users can access links just fine. This seems to point to a potential network issue. This morning, I tested things out further by turning off Mimecast URL protection and other security features but that didn't solve the problem. Interestingly, I found that Outlook Web works without a hitch. I also did a Repair and checked for updates, but nothing changed. Has anyone else run into this situation?

I'm experiencing this issue too, and it seems to be network-related. Disabling the URL protection did help somewhat, but I'm still trying to figure it out.

Yeah, we've noticed the same thing! It started for us on Friday, and I couldn't find any info on it either. By chance, does your setup include a FortiGate firewall?

I've found that setting the GEO IP to allow all countries resolves the issue for now. But I'm wondering if it's safer to restrict access to specific countries instead. Any suggestions on which ones to permit?

From the logs I've checked, it looks like Microsoft's Office 365 services are attempting to connect to IPs in Mexico. Might want to consider allowing those if you go that route!
