Trouble Playing Videos and Streaming on My PC

I'm having a really frustrating problem with my PC – it won't let me watch videos on platforms like YouTube, Twitch, or Netflix, and I can't listen to music on Spotify or download anything from my browser either. The videos sort of load but won't actually play. I tried a Discord call where my friend shared their screen, and that worked just fine, so that's not the issue. My internet is working great otherwise; I ran a speed test, and it shows 830 Mbps download and 620 Mbps upload. I'm using a LAN cable, but my devices that connect via Wi-Fi work perfectly. I even tried switching to Wi-Fi on my PC, but it didn't help. I've rebooted my PC and router multiple times, reset my network settings in Windows, and checked all the cables. I also attempted some technical fixes I found online, but nothing worked. This started after my cat turned off my PC while sleeping on it, so I'm not sure if that's related. I'm desperate for help as I need to complete some school work.

Have you tried disabling any browser extensions you have? Sometimes, they can interfere with video playback. Also, double-check that Javascript is enabled in your browser settings. That might just fix the problem!

Thanks for the suggestion! I just tried disabling the extensions and checked the Javascript setting, but unfortunately, it didn’t work. I really think this isn’t a browser problem.
