I'm having a frustrating issue with my Realtek 8821CE adapter on my Windows 11 laptop—it just won't stay connected to my home Wi-Fi. My other devices work fine at the same distance, and I can connect to mobile hotspots without any trouble. I've already tried several solutions, including testing different drivers (versions 2024.10.144.0, 2024.0.8.108, and 2024.10.230.2), turning off power management, and running both 'netsh winsock reset' and 'netsh int ip reset'. I've also uninstalled the driver and restarted my computer, plus disconnected and reconnected to the network. Any ideas on how to fix this?

You might want to consider downgrading to an older driver version directly from the Realtek site rather than using the ones from your laptop manufacturer. The 2023.56.0502.2017 version has worked for others, but keep in mind you may hit a roadblock if it’s specifically for Windows 10 and not compatible with 11. Just something to look out for!
First off, try disabling the roaming aggressiveness setting in your network adapter options. That one often helps stabilize connections. You might need to access the advanced settings of your adapter to find it, and if it’s not there, you might need to tweak other settings related to your wireless mode or power management. Good luck!
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll check that out. I wasn’t sure what roaming aggressiveness even was, but I’ll give it a go.
Make sure you double-check that the antennas are properly attached to the WLAN card. If the hardware is faulty, it could be an easy fix by just reconnecting those. Also, some adapters can be pretty inexpensive if you need to replace it down the line. Hang in there!
Yeah, I ran into that issue too. It seems like some drivers just don’t play nicely with Windows 11, especially the more recent ones. Good luck finding one that works!
