I recently built a new gaming PC using parts including an MSI B850 Tomahawk MAG Max Wifi motherboard, 32GB of Crucial DDR5 RAM, an Asus Tuf 4070 Ti OC graphics card, and a 1000W Corsair PSU. I only reused the 4070 Ti from my old setup. Lately, while gaming, my monitors occasionally go black even though the PC stays powered on and the fans keep running. I've tried a few fixes: reinstalling the GPU driver, resetting the CMOS, and even replacing the PSU with a new one. I also swapped in a 5070 Ti to see if the GPU was the culprit, and so far, it seems fine, but it's only been a few hours. This issue does not occur when the system is idle, and the temperatures are within normal ranges. One time before I changed the GPU, the audio cut out as well, which was unusual. If the new GPU has issues too, what other potential problems should I investigate?

I had a similar issue a while back, and it turned out to be a problem with my monitor. I suggest trying different cables or even connecting a different monitor to see if that helps. Sometimes the monitors themselves can be the weak link!
Have you tried running a stress test on either GPU? It might give you some insight into whether the issue is hardware-related, especially with the old graphics card. You could use something like Furmark to see if anything weird happens during the test.
If the new GPU continues to work fine, then it’s possible your old one was indeed the problem. But if it doesn’t, keep an eye on your PSU. Even new ones can be faulty. You might want to check the wattage output while gaming to ensure it's stable.
