Trouble with Fingerprint Sensor on Dell Latitude 5520

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with the fingerprint sensor on my Dell Latitude 5520. After I initially set it up, everything works perfectly, and I can log in with my fingerprint without any problems. However, once I shut down the laptop and restart it, the fingerprint login fails, and Windows says it can't recognize my fingerprint anymore. I've already tried a few things like enabling the fingerprint option in the BIOS, installing the latest drivers, turning off Bitlocker and resetting TPM, and even replacing the fingerprint sensor with a new one. Unfortunately, none of these steps have solved the issue. Can anyone suggest what else I might try? Thanks for your help! My OS is Windows 11, 25H2.

Have you thought about cleaning the area where you slide your finger over the sensor? Sometimes dirt or oils can get in the way, even if you've replaced the sensor. It might help!

I did replace the sensor, but I'll give cleaning it a try anyway. Thanks for the tip!
