I've been experiencing random blue screens of death (BSOD) while I game, and I'm really at a loss here. I've run memtest86 to check my RAM and it came back fine. I also did a fresh install of Windows and made sure all my drivers are up to date. The weird part is, every time I try to create a minidump file, it fails. I'm worried that this might be an issue with my graphics card, motherboard, or possibly the power supply unit (PSU) causing all these problems. The specific error messages I keep getting are UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION, CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED, and THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER.

The good news is that the error patterns you’re seeing usually aren’t due to your graphics card, motherboard, or PSU. They often indicate a problem with your storage device, especially the UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION error. Make sure to back up your data right away if you haven’t already. If you can manage to get a few minidump files, that’d definitely help pinpoint the problem. But keep in mind that if your system is crashing consistently, it might not be able to save those mini dumps.

I actually swapped out my C drive for a new one last week. Do you think the issue could be with my D drive where the games are installed? It’s possible, right?
