I've been through a lot this past year, including becoming homeless and having to store my PC for several months. I recently got my PC back, and while it turns on with a new power supply, I'm seeing some red lights on the motherboard indicating issues. My case is the Antec Dark League DF700 Flux Tower paired with an ASRock B550M/ac motherboard. The odd part is that the fans work when plugged directly into the motherboard, but they won't turn on when I connect them through the fan controller. Does this mean my fan controller is likely broken?

First off, sorry to hear about your tough situation! It's good to see you got your PC back. I'd suggest checking for any signs of water damage or moisture inside the case, since that could cause issues like this. Make sure to ground yourself before you start poking around to avoid static electricity. Also, listen for any beep codes when you power it on and try disconnecting components like RAM and storage to see if the PC can post without them. If it still doesn't work, you might want to test the components in another PC to find out what's faulty.
Yeah, I'd reckon your fan controller might be the problem if the fans work fine on their own but not when controlled through it. Sometimes these controllers can be sensitive and fail after a period of disuse. Have you tried resetting the controller or checking its connections? Just make sure everything is properly plugged in.
