Hey everyone, I'm facing some serious issues with my PC build. I've got a Ryzen 7 5700X3D processor and an RX 7800XT graphics card, along with 32GB of RAM. Despite this setup, I can't get stable performance above 60fps at 1440p for games like Baldur's Gate 3, Elden Ring, and Helldivers 2. My GPU usage usually hovers around 60-70%, and I'm wondering if I need to tweak some settings or if I should upgrade to an AM5 chipset to fully leverage the power of my GPU.

At 1440p, your setup is likely CPU-bound. I have the same CPU, and my high-end GPU only kicks in properly at 4K resolutions. If you want better performance at this resolution, consider upgrading your CPU for better frame rates.
Make sure you don't have any max fps settings activated in your AMD control panel. It's also worth checking if AMD Chill is turned on, as that could limit your FPS too.
I'll definitely check that out!
Have you checked your CPU temperatures? If they're high, your CPU could be thermal throttling, which means it's slowing down to prevent overheating. That's a common issue that could affect performance.
Actually, my temps are pretty low—CPU barely goes over 50°C and the GPU is under 40°C most of the time.
What’s the speed and latency of your RAM? Also, did you enable the XMP profile in the BIOS? That could boost performance significantly if you haven't done it already.
I was thinking about that. My RAM is 3200MHz, and I'll check the latency and enable XMP in BIOS. Thanks!

What CPU would you recommend to pair with an RX 7800XT for better performance?
