I've recently bought a Lenovo p14s with an AMD HX 370 processor and installed Debian Trixie right from the box. However, I'm running into a frustrating issue: whenever I try to put the laptop to sleep, it immediately wakes itself up after just a few seconds. I've also noticed that there doesn't seem to be a BIOS option for S3 sleep anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions for this problem?

I found that using systemctl suspend works pretty well, but I noticed that closing the lid doesn't trigger it as reliably. A workaround I've discovered is to disable the WiFi card before going to sleep and then turn it back on when waking up using some custom systemd services. It’s not perfect, but it's getting me by until the next kernel update.
What power management tool are you using? Is it acpid or systemd? Based on your description, it sounds like you might be using systemd, especially since you mentioned it’s a fresh install with KDE Plasma. Sometimes the WiFi card can cause issues with suspending. You should check the system logs for any clues.
