Troubleshooting a Red CPU Debug Light on a New PC Build

I've just built a new PC, but I'm seeing a red LED debug light for the CPU and I'm not sure what's causing it. Everything else appears to be working fine, but I'm stuck with this CPU light issue. I can only operate one fan on the CPU cooler because the DDRAM interferes. Initial power-up revealed that the cooling fan wasn't working, leading the system to auto-shutdown. I've disassembled and reassembled the build, but the red CPU light remains. Here's a link to my parts list for reference: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/DW6Bdb.

Be sure to test your RAM too. Try turning on the PC with just one stick of RAM and test each slot available. If that doesn't work, it's worth trying to power it on outside of the case with only the motherboard and CPU connected. Sometimes that can identify grounding issues that aren't obvious.

What do you mean by 'stick'? Are you referring to the RAM modules?

First, make sure the CPU fan is connected to the CPU_FAN header on the motherboard. If it’s not plugged in, that could definitely trigger the debug light. Also, consider repositioning the front fan; you can move it up to make more space, which might help with airflow too. Good luck!

Yeah, I checked that and realized I hadn't turned on the CPU fan when I first powered it up. Just shared a pic of the build.
