Troubleshooting Crashes on My Intel i7 14700F

I'm having persistent issues with my Intel i7 14700F. It seems like many users are experiencing similar problems with the 13th and 14th gen Intel CPUs. My games keep crashing, and I'm facing major errors. I thought updating my BIOS would help resolve these degradation issues, but it doesn't seem to have worked. Currently, the only workaround I've found is running my PC in Power Saving Mode, which drastically slows down my nearly $2,000 setup to a performance level you'd expect from a $500 laptop – that's just not acceptable! To add to my frustration, my specific CPU doesn't support Intel XTU, which is usually a common fix. I'm starting to think the only resolution is to buy a new CPU.

Sounds like you're dealing with one of those notorious 13th/14th gen Intel bugs. If you can, check if you can RMA the CPU; Intel has extended their warranty on certain models. Just keep your proof of purchase handy, and they might swap it out for you.

That’s tough! I have a prebuilt too, and when I approached the manufacturer, they wanted to take my whole system to fix it. I couldn't afford the downtime during finals!

Wow, I feel your pain! I bought an i9 14900KF but had to return it because it overheated even with top-tier cooling. I finally switched to a Ryzen 7 9500x3d, and I'm loving my decision. Might be time to consider different hardware.

Updating your BIOS one more time could help! Intel released several microcode updates to stabilize the CPUs after addressing the degradation issues. Those updates are crucial for keeping the CPU stable, especially when idle, so it's worth a shot.
