Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my laptop lately. It doesn't want to restart or shut down properly. Most of the time, it gets stuck on the shutdown/restart screen, and other times, it just goes black while the keyboard backlight stays on. When starting up, I sometimes encounter a blue screen of death (BSOD), but after shutting it down and turning it back on, it works normally. Also, when I plug in or unplug my mouse, it doesn't get recognized even though it was working just fine before. I'm pretty sure it's not a port issue since everything runs well initially. I'm really stumped here and would appreciate any advice you all can offer. This is a repost because I didn't get any responses last time, so thanks in advance!

For the BSOD issues, you should try to gather some dump files for a better diagnosis. To do this, check if you can access Windows normally or through Safe Mode. Then head to C:WindowsMinidump and see if there are any dump files there. If you find some, zip the folder and upload it to a file-sharing site like mediafire or catbox.moe, and share the link. Getting multiple dump files can provide more insight, so if you only have one, you can follow some guides to change your settings to create more small memory dumps.
Since laptops have fewer user-serviceable parts, the best move if you suspect hardware issues is to take it to a repair shop for diagnostics. But first, you might want to rule out software problems. Consider doing a clean install of Windows. Just back up your important data on an external drive, create a bootable USB (there are guides available online), and make sure to delete all partitions on your system drive during the installation. After reinstalling, download and install the latest drivers for your laptop, especially if it has an Nvidia graphics card, as there can be driver issues with certain models.
You might want to consider whether a clean install or a reset would be better for your situation.
I've tried reinstalling the Nvidia drivers and the latest Windows updates, but that didn’t fix anything. When I run CHKDSK /F, I get an error, and /sfc scannow didn’t show any issues either.
