Troubleshooting Laptop Screen Issues: Any Advice?

I'm dealing with an issue where my Windows 11 laptop powers on, but the screen remains completely black. I've already attempted several fixes like a hard reset by holding the power button for over 20 seconds and using the key combination 'Ctrl + Shift + Win + B' to refresh the display. I also tried connecting it to my TV as an external monitor, but that didn't work either. I'm really worried about this since a game I enjoy has an update coming out soon, and I can't afford repairs or a new laptop right now. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!

You've mentioned holding the power button for over 20 seconds, but I recommend trying a shorter press instead. Just hold it down for about 7-9 seconds until you see the lights turn off. Once that happens, release the button, wait a few seconds, then quickly press the power button again to see if it boots up.

I've already done that a few times, but thanks for the suggestion!

First of all, does anything at all light up or make noise when you try to turn it on? How do you know it's just the screen or graphics issue and not the whole laptop? If it seems completely dead, and if you have an older laptop with a removable battery, try taking out the battery and unplugging the power cord. Hold down the power button for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in (preferably at a different outlet) and reinsert the battery. Let it sit for 30 minutes before trying to power it on again! Good luck!

The fan and power light come on, and it seems to charge, but the screen just won't turn on.
