I recently picked up a used ThinkPad T480, and after about three hours of use, I noticed some pink stripes appearing on the screen. This happened after the screen went blank for a moment. I managed to fix it by closing the lid and reopening it, and now it seems fine. I'm worried that this might be a sign of a failing screen. Is there any chance this display issue indicates a problem, or could it be something else like a loose connection?

If the screen has a pattern like that, it's definitely not normal behavior. It could be a number of things, but if you can make the issue happen again, try recording it. That way, you can show the seller and potentially get a refund or a replacement.
It sounds like there might be a bad or loose display cable. That kind of issue is usually fixable and not too expensive—around $20 or so for the part. It’s worth checking out!
Yeah, but since it hasn’t happened again and everything works fine now, could it have just been a glitch with the drivers or something? Maybe something I installed?
