Hey everyone! I'm running into a frustrating problem with my PC's RAM. I got an error message related to Memory PMU Training during startup, and I noticed that it's only detecting one of my RAM sticks. I've got 2x8 GB installed, but both dxdiag and the BIOS show only 8 GB available. I've tried various troubleshooting steps like switching the RAM sticks between slots and testing them one by one, and I'm confident the RAM itself isn't faulty; it seems like the socket could be the issue.
I have a B450m s2h motherboard, and I attempted to reset the CMOS by removing the battery for about 10 minutes, which temporarily fixed the issue and made 16 GB of RAM show up again. However, the problem resurfaced this morning, and it's back to showing only 8 GB again.
Do you think replacing the CMOS battery could resolve this, or could it be an issue with the PSU or motherboard? I've already ordered a CR2032 battery and I'm waiting for it to arrive, but I'm not sure if that will solve the problem.

This sounds like it could be related to your motherboard, a problematic memory slot, or possibly even an outdated BIOS. Have you checked if your BIOS is up-to-date?

Thanks for your input! I haven't updated the BIOS since I got the PC. Do you think an update could actually help? What could cause this issue to pop up suddenly? I had a similar issue a while back, but it resolved itself after I moved. At that time, my place didn't have good electricity grounding.
