I'm having trouble with a USB expansion card I recently purchased. It seems to work fine in my older ASUS Z87K machine, but when I try to install it in the PCIe x1 slot on my ASUS X470-Pro board, the devices aren't connecting, even though some are getting power. I've checked in sysinfo and Device Manager, and the card isn't being recognized at all. I've already tried using the drivers from the disk, but that didn't help. Is there something specific I'm missing with the setup on the X470?

Have you tried plugging the card into different PCIe x1 slots on your X470? Sometimes certain slots can be disabled based on what else is connected to the board. That might be why your card isn't showing up.
Double-check if there are any other components in the other PCIe slots. I read that using slots like PCIe X16_3 or M.2_2 can sometimes conflict with X1_1 and X1_3, causing the USB card not to work.
Great tip! I’ll test X1_2 next and see if it makes a difference.

I’ve tried using X1_1 without success. I’ll unplug my SATA connections and see if X1_2 works.
