I'm having a persistent problem with my Windows 11 laptop where the Wi-Fi icon doesn't show up at all when I turn it on. The wireless functionality is completely unavailable in the settings, but it temporarily resolves after I restart my laptop. This has been an issue for almost two years now. I initially tried looking up fixes and even reset my device after a friend suggested I might have a crypto miner. When my laptop had hardware issues, I took it in for repairs, and the Wi-Fi was fixed, but just a week ago, the problem came back. I'm desperate for a solution. Should I consider getting a new laptop, or is this just a quirk of Windows 11? For reference, I have an ASUS TUF GAMING F15.

It sounds like you might have the MediaTek Wi-Fi card, which has been a known issue for many ASUS users. Unfortunately, ASUS hasn't done much to address this. The best long-term solution might be to upgrade to an Intel AX210 or another reliable Intel Wi-Fi card.
That really stinks! ASUS seems to have dropped the ball on this issue. If you do decide to upgrade the card, you might want to check out reviews for different brands too. It could save you some trouble in the future.
